Logistics Specialist – Conveyor Belts and Components

Vasco Global Limited, an affiliate of a Swiss based holding, is a global sourcing house and partner for industrial consumables with focus on conveyor belts and components.
We support customers worldwide a holistic and cost-effective sourcing from vendors across various countries. Our business interacts with various industries, including manufacturing, mining, agriculture, and logistics.

For our team, we are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist with hands-on experience to enhance our global logistics operation.

The ideal candidate should have solid understanding of global supply chain operations, shipping regulations, customs procedures, interacting with 3PLs and optimization of logistic cost.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's success and drive innovation in the industry.

You will be working closely with the sales team, customers and logistic professionals in Germany.

If you have a proven track-record in handling container and air-freight logistics, primarily from China, pro-active with an independent, structured and organized working behaviour and able to think on your feed with an appetite to learn and grow, we are keen to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Support Sales in organizing logistics of goods with 3PL and supplier/manufacturer.
Conduct container loading optimization and pro-actively propose options to increase utilization of FCL.
Support supplier/manufacturer in following packing guidelines and instructions.
Assure on-time pick-up and handling of goods, warehouse check-in and dispatch.
Facilitate communication between production, sales and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.
Handle and check all related shipping and declaration documents as and where needed.
Conduct price comparison of 3PL services and assure the best level of reliability and cost.
Assure proper documentation and filing of information.
Monitor and pro-actively report on-time delivery or delays with respective colleagues and customers.
Actively seek and propose measures to optimize process and document flow to improve process efficiency.
Check bills and invoices of 3PLs and liaise with finance for settlement.

Qualifications and Skills

At least 3 years in the logistic industry as a freight forwarder, logistic coordinator or similar.
Mother tongue or business professional in English and Chinese (verbal, reading writing). Any other language is an advantage.
Structured, organized and detailed oriented working manner
Able to work independently with a pro-active with a self-starter mindset.
Advanced in using Microsoft word and excel. Basic skills in Power Point are desired.
Natural team player with an outspoke and positive mindset.
Living the highest integrity values towards the customer and the firm
Enthusiastic about working in a small, agile and international team with key counterparts located in Germany.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in person and remotely via phone, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and vendors.
